The Founders M/T 245/70R19.5 Radial tire is the logical evolution of the Founders M/T 225. The 245s can directly replace the factory tires on your F-450/550 (and similar trucks from RAM/GM/Isuzu/etc.) without having to add a lift, trim fenders or buy new wheels. The 245s are about 1” wider, 1” taller, and have a 800lb higher weight rating (per tire) compared to the 225. The increased height and width help with floatation offroad and increase ground clearance. Of course, you still get the class-leading digging and self-cleaning Founders M/T tread that will keep you going when the going gets tough.
Tire Tread Block Regions
Green — Shoulder Block
Cornering stability, resists lateral forces, staggered edges to cut noise.
Red — Center Block
Primary contact patch for straight-line stability, braking, and acceleration traction.
Blue — Intermediate/Transition Block
Bridges forces between center and shoulders; balances handling and comfort, reduces harmonics.
Purple — Edge/Shoulder Lug
Angled outer lugs bite into loose terrain; open voids self-clean and add grip in ruts or snow.
CYAN — STONE-EJECTOR / SIPING
Small tie bars and ejectors clear rocks, add wet-grip bite, and stabilize the tread so it wears evenly without raising noise.

Founders M/T 245s are designed to fit directly up to a factory wheel & suspension setup for heavy-duty pickups/work trucks. Compared to the factory size of 225/70R19.5, the 245/70R19.5s are taller, wider, and have a higher weight rating - maximizing offroad capability without having to extensively modify your truck.

The outer lugs have staggered shoulders to dig in when it’s wet. The side lugs alternate in height and are long, giving you 70% more traction in the mud. On the road, the center two rows are engineered for stability at speed and to give the tires a longer wear life.
