Founders Tires Warranty – All Weathers, All Miles

1. Scope & Eligibility

• Covers the original retail purchaser for use on the original vehicle identified on the purchase invoice (non-transferable).
• Valid only for tires installed and used in the United States and Canada.
• Warranty becomes void if tire DOT serial number is altered or removed.

2. Workmanship & Materials Warranty

Coverage: Defects in materials or manufacturing.

Duration: Up to 6 years from the date of purchase (or from the manufacturing date if purchase proof is unavailable), or until tread is worn to 2/32 inch, whichever occurs first.

Remedy:

• Free Replacement: If a tire is found defective within the first 25% of original usable tread or within 12 months of purchase (whichever comes first), Founders will replace the tire with a comparable new Founders tire at no charge, including standard mounting. Taxes, balancing, valve stems, disposal and other service fees are the owner’s responsibility.
• Pro-Rated Credit: After the early replacement period, a pro-rated credit toward a comparable new Founders tire will be issued based on remaining usable tread depth. The credit is calculated as:
  Pro-rated Credit = (Remaining usable tread ÷ Original usable tread) × Purchase price

3. Uniformity (Ride Comfort) Warranty

Coverage: Ride disturbances caused by manufacturing uniformity issues.

Duration: First 2/32 inch of wear or 12 months from purchase, whichever occurs first.

Remedy: One-time free replacement of the affected tire if the ride disturbance cannot be corrected by rebalancing or road-force matching.

4. Tread-Life / Mileage Warranty

Coverage: For designated patterns, Founders guarantees tread life up to 60,000 miles when properly maintained and rotated on schedule.

Eligibility Requirements: Documented rotations at the intervals below, proper inflation, alignment records when applicable, and even placement across axles.

• Rotation interval: every 5,000–7,500 miles (or per vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation, whichever is sooner).
• Proof: Provide dated service records showing mileage at each rotation.

Remedy (Pro-Rata): If the tire wears to 2/32 inch before the warranted mileage, the credit toward a comparable new Founders tire equals:

Notes: Mileage coverage is pattern-specific. If your Founders pattern has a different mileage, the higher of the posted pattern mileage or 60,000 miles applies only if explicitly stated on your invoice or our warranty schedule for that SKU.

5. Road Hazard Protection (Optional Add-On)

Coverage: Non-repairable damage from road hazards such as potholes, nails, glass, or debris.

• Duration: 12 months from purchase or until 2/32 inch remaining tread, whichever occurs first.
• Remedy: One complimentary replacement of the affected tire with a comparable new Founders tire. Mounting is included; other service fees and taxes are the owner’s responsibility.
• Availability: Must be purchased at the time of tire sale and shown on the invoice.

6. Owner Obligations (Required for Coverage)

• Maintain and document proper inflation per vehicle placard or owner’s manual.
• Rotate tires every 5,000–7,500 miles (or sooner for severe service), and keep dated records.
• Ensure wheels are balanced at installation and as needed; correct alignment issues promptly.
• Use tires only for their intended application, load index, and speed rating; maintain adequate clearances.

7. What Is Not Covered

• Damage from road hazards (unless Road Hazard Protection was purchased), cuts, impacts, punctures, snags, bruises, or breaks.
• Improper installation, improper repair, wheel or vehicle mechanical issues, misalignment, unbalanced assemblies, or inconsistent inflation.
• Irregular tread wear from failure to rotate; racing, competition, drift, burnout, or off-road abuse beyond design intent.
• Chemical contamination, ozone cracking from improper storage, fire, vandalism, accidents, or acts of God.
• Tires used in commercial delivery, ride-share, police, emergency, towing, or severe service unless expressly stated on the SKU’s warranty schedule.
• Cosmetic conditions that do not affect performance or safety after 12 months (weather checking, superficial blemishes).
• Any tire with DOT serial number altered/removed, or with a sidewall plug/patch, or otherwise unreasonably unsafe to service.

8. How to Make a Warranty Claim

1. Request an RMA: Within the applicable warranty period, email [[email protected]] or submit at [Warranty Portal URL] with your order/invoice number, vehicle info, photos of full tread, DOT code, and the issue.
2. Inspection: We may direct you to an authorized inspection center or request return of the tire for evaluation. If shipping is requested, ship insured and prepaid to the address we provide. Retain proof of shipment.
3. Decision & Remedy: We will notify you of the determination. Approved claims receive free replacement (where applicable) or a pro-rated credit applied toward a replacement Founders tire on the same vehicle.

Processing time: Allow up to 10 business days after we receive the tire or inspection report.

10. Limits, Transferability, and Exclusive Remedy

• This warranty is extended only to the original retail purchaser and original vehicle; it is not transferable.
• Remedies provided are the exclusive remedies. Founders Tires LLC is not liable for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of use, time, or profits.
• No dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to modify this warranty. Any promises beyond this document are not binding unless in a signed writing by Founders Tires LLC.
• Some states do not allow limitations on consequential damages; these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights which vary by state or province.
