Direct-Fit Sizes, Stock Wheel Compatible
Founders 225 M/T tire Direct Fit

225/70R19.5

225 M/T

A direct-fit replacement for most medium-duty trucks, no wheel modification, no guesswork. The full Founders construction spec in the most accessible package.

  • Fits stock 19.5" wheel configurations on most platforms
  • Same severe-duty casing construction as the full lineup
  • Fire service and fleet proven without requiring a full build-out
  • Engineered for low rolling resistance alongside real traction
  • The no-compromise entry point into the Founders lineup
Founders 245 M/T tire Step Up

245/70R19.5

245 M/T

20mm more tread width than the 225 in a marginally heavier carcass. More bite, more load capacity, and it still fits the stock wheel configuration.

  • 20mm wider contact patch vs the 225, more tread to work with
  • Higher load capacity in the same wheel configuration
  • More stance and ground clearance without a wheel change
  • Same direct-fit convenience as the 225
  • The practical step-up for operators who need more tire
305 Platform, Requires at least 2" Lift
Founders 305 M/T mud terrain tire Flagship M/T ~15–20 lbs lighter than other 18 PLY 305/70/19.5

305/70R19.5

305 M/T

Maximum mud terrain aggression, and one of the lightest 305/70/19.5 tires available. 15–20 lbs lighter than most competing options at this size.

  • ~15–20 lbs lighter than comparable 305/70/19.5 tires
  • Less unsprung weight and reciprocating mass per revolution
  • Maximum bite, aggressive open tread for mud, sand, and soft terrain
  • Fire service and severe-duty fleet proven
  • Contact to order, pairs with the super single conversion kit
Founders 305 A/T all-terrain tire All Terrain ~15–20 lbs lighter than other 18 PLY 305/70/19.5

305/70R19.5

305 A/T

Same weight advantage over the competition, with a tread pattern balanced for both pavement and terrain. Highway comfortable. Still capable when the route turns rough.

  • ~15–20 lbs lighter than comparable 305/70/19.5 tires
  • Quieter on pavement, manageable for regular highway driving
  • Still handles mud, gravel, and off-road access routes
  • Good choice for overland builds and mixed-duty trucks
  • Contact to order, pairs with the super single conversion kit
305/70R19.5 Weight Advantage

~15–20 lbs

Lighter than the competition.

Most competing 305/70/19.5 tires come in significantly heavier. Every pound of unsprung weight costs you in fuel, handling, and drivetrain wear. Founders built the 305 platform to the lightest viable casing spec, without compromising the load ratings and durability a severe-duty tire demands.

Less Unsprung Weight Lighter tires reduce the load your suspension carries per corner, better handling, less wear on components.
Less Reciprocating Mass Every revolution, a heavier tire costs more energy to spin. 15–20 lbs per corner adds up across a fleet or a long-haul route.
Better Fuel Economy The weight and rolling resistance advantage compounds over time, meaningful savings for fire apparatus and fleet operators running these daily.

Tread Design

The M/T and A/T share the same casing standard. What differentiates them is the tread pattern, maximum aggression versus a pattern balanced for both terrain and road.

Mud Terrain

305 M/T

Designed for maximum self-cleaning traction in the worst conditions, mud, sand, loose rock, and soft terrain.

305 M/T tread zone diagram
  • Deep, wide tread voids evacuate mud and debris rapidly
  • Aggressive open shoulder lugs for lateral grip in soft terrain
  • Stone ejectors prevent debris from lodging in the tread
  • Maximum void ratio, the tradeoff is more road noise on pavement
All Terrain

305 A/T

Engineered for the driver who splits time between highway miles and demanding off-road use, without giving up either.

305 A/T tread zone diagram
  • Tighter center rib pattern reduces road noise at highway speeds
  • Siped shoulder blocks maintain wet traction and trail capability
  • Balanced void ratio, capable off-road, quieter on-road
  • Better choice when daily driving is part of the equation
Rolling Resistance Engineered low Compound and casing spec tuned to minimize rolling drag without sacrificing tread compound grip.
Casing Weight ~15–20 lbs lighter Less mass to accelerate and decelerate on every revolution, the efficiency dividend compounds over miles and routes.
Bite vs Efficiency Both. Not either. Most aggressive tires treat rolling resistance as acceptable damage. Founders engineered for both, traction and fuel economy aren't mutually exclusive.

Engineered for bite and efficiency.

Most mud terrain tires treat rolling resistance as collateral damage. The assumption is that real traction requires a heavy, high-drag casing. Founders challenges that assumption directly.

The casing construction and compound specification are tuned to deliver real traction, the kind fire service and fleet operators rely on, without the fuel penalty that typically comes with aggressive tread. That means lower rolling resistance by design, not by accident.

Combined with the 15–20 lb weight advantage on the 305 platform, the result is a tire that costs less to run every day it's on the truck. For fleets and departments running these tires across a season or a year, that's not a minor detail.
